Sunday & Monday (Week 8) - Longreach!

Hello! Welcome to this blog post, where it covers our adventures on Sunday and Monday of this week. Enjoy!

Sunday

So, on Sunday, we headed to town in Winton to do some last sightseeing there before doing the 2-hour drive to Longreach. Winton is known for its Opal, so we went into this place selling a bunch of opal stuff, and guess what! They had kittens! There were two roaming around, so we got to hold them and pat them... They were SOOO soft! After (reluctantly) leaving the store, we wandered around town a bit more, however many things were closed because it was a Sunday morning. After all, it is a country town. We went to the Winton Musical fence which was on Saturday (woops!) and we had a heap of fun jamming around with sticks on old pieces of machinery and saucepans. We also went to this place called Arno's wall, where a guy basically created a concrete fence, but chucked a heap of random stuff in it. (See the photo) Since we had packed up the camper trailer that morning, we headed back to the campsite, hitched up the trailer and headed to Longreach. After arriving, we walked around the main streets for a bit, and then headed back to our campsite to set up. It took us... (Drumroll please!) around 1 hour and 30 minutes! So, we are getting quicker. We then had a quiet afternoon evening, and tomorrow we are seeing my brother's family (Joshua, Trish and their son Bradley). Adios!

Monday

On Monday, after doing school/work, we had a quiet afternoon around the campsite doing some school as well as just relaxing. Later in the afternoon, my brother and his family visited for an hour or so, and we had a heap of fun together just catching up since we hadn't seen them for 8 weeks! We also got some pictures of the sunset because the sunsets here are GORGEOUS! You will see a heap of photos haha. Mum and Dad had to do a white card course which took them about 6 hours to complete over Zoom, so me and Christopher had some fun times together playing a game of Mastermind while having dinner, before watching a movie. And that was Monday!
