Ok, it is Monday and Tuesday of Week 9 in Longreach. This post covers my birthday as well! Hope you enjoy!
Monday
On Monday, we did school in the morning, and then we had a relaxing afternoon before heading over to Joshua and Trish's place. Me and Christopher hung out there for a while as Mum and Dad were going out on a date (with each other 🤣) as it was their 30th wedding anniversary! We had a fun night playing games with them, and we also got to see the puppies! Mum and Dad had a great night, and once we got home we went to bed!
Tuesday
So Tuesday was my Birthday! I am now 15. I say that I feel old, but I know that compared to other people (not mentioning any names), I am not that old. But still! 🤣In the morning I was serenaded by Mum, Dad and Christopher singing Happy Birthday while I was still in bed. Spoiler alert, I was reading for about 1/2 an hour before they came in, but I put my Kindle away and pretended to be asleep when they came in. 🤫🤣 After a couple video calls with family, and a yummy pancake breakfast (thanks Mum!), we were able to go to the Stockman's Hall of Fame. There was a museum there, as well as a short movie about the history of the stockman, plus a really cool entertainment show run by a modern-day stockman. There a photos attached of the show, and the entertainer, Lachie Cossor was a song-writer as well, so he performed a couple of really good songs while on horseback/horse-bottom (check the photos and you will understand 😂) We had lunch at the cafe after the movie and show, and then we walked around the museum. There was an old piano in the museum, however sadly, it was extremely out of tune. It was painful to listen to Für Elise, but I tried anyways. After the museum we headed back to the campsite (with a couple of short spontaneous detours) to have dinner with Joshua, Trish and Bradley. We had a really nice night, with a barbecue dinner (thanks Mum, again) and yummy cake (thanks Trish!). After Joshua, Trish and Bradley left, we watched a great movie, and then we went to bed. Thanks to my awesome family, I had an awesome and blessed day.
