Wednesday & Thursday (Week 4) - Townsville

Merhaba! I pray that this post finds you well! Todays bible verse is Psalm 107:19. I hope that it encourages you and blesses you!

Wednesday

So today (I am writing this Wednesday night) we got up, and then decided that we would leave 30 minutes from waking up in order to go to a Military Museum as soon as we had finished school. So after a mad rush to get ready, we ended up arriving at the Maccas we were planning to do school and charge our computers at, and realised that they had no power points in which to plug our computers. So we ended up going to a park and did our school in the parking lot while our computers charged from the car's power. It was really nice though, and we all appreciated the sun since it was REALLY COLD!

Once we had finished school, we went into the Military Museum, which covered from World War One to the Afghanistan wars. They had a heap of exhibits showing what it was like in the trenches, as clay kickers (google it) and a modern exhibit on what it was like for a soldier and his family when saying goodbye.

Without going into a lot of detail, it was really confronting to see what it was really like for the soldiers, especially in the trenches. To think that people would choose to do that is really courageous and loyal. I am proud that we have people in our country who are so willing to serve that they put not only their lives on the line, but accepted that they would most likely suffer greatly. They suffered the side effects up until before they died, whether during the war, or years later.

After the military museum, we had lunch, and then Mum and I had a rest while Christopher and Dad went for a walk up to an old military fort called Kissing Point Fort. Once they came back, we relaxed some more, and then headed back to the campsite.

Once at the campsite, Christopher did some school, and then both of us began to sort out getting books on our kindle. Later this evening however, after spending a couple hours on finding books from a particular website, I realised that it would be extremely complicated, if not impossible to get those books onto my kindle, wasting those couple hours... (Note to self... check they are kindle compatable in future haha)

And now, after an amazing dinner of hot dogs (I had tomato and ketchup on mine.. the DOUBLE SPECIAL!) and then a desert of icecream and chocolate sauce (a very yummy treat) I am writing the blog, and then in about 2 minutes I will be watching Bluey!!

Thursday

And today is Thursday! This morning we did school (insert the shocked face) and then we had lunch over by the river which is just outside our campsite. It is all really picturesque and we sat underneath a pavilion overlooking the river.

Once back in our campsite, me and Christopher joined in our Cert 3 lessons, and then once that was finished we went shopping. Tomorrow we will be going to Magnetic Island for the whole day, so today was pretty busy (and slightly stressful for me) to finish our weeks worth of school a day early. But we did it! (mostly)

And now I am sitting beside Christopher writing this blog, and then hopefully watching Bluey. Also, today I got to download some kindle books so I actually have some books to read! Yay! 🥳 So Dad is currently getting them onto my kindle.
