Wednesday-Friday (Week 3) - Mackay

Hello everyone! This is Tahllia again, with another update! Photos down the bottom.

Please comment below if you like this format, or would rather the old one!

Wednesday

Today was very uneventful, as after doing school, we went out to run some errands, as we needed to print out stuff for school and run other errands  (#randomthought Ollie is meowing somewhere outside...I wish he could come in the tent here with me 😢) After running the errands, we decided to spontaneously go and have a look at the Mackay harbour since Port Mackay seems to be a popular harbour. Part of the harbor was closed due to a upgrade/renovation, however we could walk along the place that they had the smaller boats. Turns out that my aunt, Uncle and grandparents stayed there at one point while they were travelling around the Queensland Coast on their boat that my Grandpa built. After that, we came back to the campsite and hung out. When I went to have my shower, Bella wanted to come in with me... I think she wanted some love. However, then she lay down beside Dad, and I think he felt loved. Fun fact, this morning when I came out of the tent, Bella was lying purring on Dad's lap! Apparently, she hopped up there all by herself (trust me, Dad wouldn't encourage her) and then went plop!  Apparently, Bella is "anti-social and runs away from people" and she runs towards us.And then after dinner, Ollie hopped up onto Mum's lap while she was having her cuppa tea. But that's enough about cats haha. We had a really nice sunset though, and photos are attached at the bottom.

Thursday & Friday

These days we just stayed around the campsite, did school and saw the animals. Also, we discovered two other cats! We knew that there were five, however we only saw the two- Ollie and Bella. Later on we found the 5th cat, however it was really skittish. Both of the new cats we found were girls and were called Thelma and Gilford- Gilford is below. Thelma also seems shy, however Gilford was very smoochy and loving, following us out of the barn, however not all the way to the campsite.

Photos are attached!
