Thursday
Sooooooo...... Thursday we spent the morning doing school, and after lunch we headed out to the nearby park where we would later meet my cousins for a playdate. We did our Cert 3 lesson in the car, and then after that was finished, we were able to spend time with the kids. We did have a heap of fun however and played a lot of tag and also a lot of swings. Again, I think we used up more energy than the kids did...
After we left the park, we then met up at Uncle Jon's place to have dinner there for the last time. It was really nice, and I got to spend some time with Tingles, their cat, and she even sat on my lap for a while. (After being put there of course 🙄) After a really special dinner, we then headed back to the campsite. And that was our Thursday.
Friday
So today, after finishing the small amount of school that we had left, we began packing up the campsite. We had a big day on Saturday as it was 6 hours of driving to our next destination (which will remain unnamed) instead of our normal 4 hours. So we packed up what we could, before heading to Kuranda for the afternoon. I love Kuranda because it is a collection of small shops holding local produce/crafts etc. It also has a really nice Chocolate Shop (it also has sweets and other local crafts) as well as a Candy shop (that makes rock candy in front of you, except we couldn't see it because we were too late 😢) So knowing my sweet tooth, you could probably guess that I got some rock candy, and also some other lollies from the Chocolate shop, which is actually called 'Not just Chocolate'. Yum! After doing more browsing in some other really cool stores, including one where a guy made mugs and combs from cow horns, we began to head back so that we could do some more packing to lessen the work needed the following morning. And then after all the packing that we could do in advance was finished, we relaxed.
