Hellooooooo! Welcome back to the Baade's Queensland Adventure blog! Thanks for joining! Piccies down the bottom.
Saturday
On Saturday, we had a bit of a sleep in (and Mum and Dad actually allowed Ollie to come into the tent once we were all awake and he lay on our beds. He's really cute!), and then, after getting ready, went to Cape Hillsborough National Park (I think it was there) and just had a relaxing day there. We all started a 4.3km hike up a mountain with a lot of steep steps, but because of the steepness, and the fact that it was 4.3km, me and Mum only completed the first part, and then Dad and Christopher finished it. Me and Mum, and then the boys later on had a very relaxing day on a picnic rug reading and just all around... relaxing. The beach there was beautiful, with nice blue water and white sand. We didn't end up walking on it though...
After that we had some more errands to run, and then we came back to the campsite, and began packing. Sadly we didn't get back in time to see the bunnies again. 😢 I helped Mum with packing the pantry, and Dad and Christopher packed up Christopher's room. And then, after that was all done, I watched (drumroll please) BLUEY!!
Sunday
On Sunday (I am writing this on Sunday so any references to 'today' will be Sunday) we packed up reasonably fast, however we are still getting the hang of packing up the actual camper trailer tent. After me, Mum and Christopher getting last cuddles with the bunnies, and then we all said our last goodbyes to Ollie and Bella (and me to Gilford) we drove off. There was a intersection where we could either turn one way back to Brisbane (South), and the other way was to Townsville (North). I asked, "could we turn around?" But anyways, we ended up still going north, and here we are at Townsville. We only took 1hr and 45min (ish) to set up, and I have now decided what the cut-off is for when we are 'set up' we kinda potter around once the main things have been set up. So I decided that in future, the cut-off would be when the place is sleepable [google tells me this isn't a word...] (mine and Christopher's stretchers are set up with the mattresses, pillows and doonas on) But we got set up with no major dramas, and then we had a nice dinner, and at some point, preferably soon, we will be going to bed. We are staying at a Seventh Day Adventist caravan park, hence we decided to travel on the Sunday instead of Saturday, because otherwise we wouldn't be allowed in until 7.30pm on Saturday because of the Sabbath. But it still is a nice place, however we have a caravan right next to us, and it feels slightly claustrophobic especially after the farm. (BTW I dunno if I told you, but it was called Jaravale Alpcaca Farm. [this is my plug/review] It was amazing! They have bunnies and cats that just jump onto your lap randomly.) This makes me remember... this morning, Ollie was (again) allowed into our tent, and then he jumped up onto my bed and was just purring and on my lap. And then when I had to get up, I moved the doona so that he was still lying on it, but not on my lap, and then he got up and lay on my lap again! And then while having breakfast he hopped up onto my lap. The food may have enticed him slightly, but even after I finished, he didn't want to get up. I love Ollie 😍 But anyways... enough about the cat.
That was our Sunday!
