Greetings from Cairns! There are no photos attached because we didn't really go to any nature-y places and it's kinda hard to take photos in shops...
Read ahead to find out what we did on Monday and Tuesday!
Monday
Monday…. Now what did we do Monday…
That’s right. We did school/work in the morning, while Mum ran errands and did laundry.
Afterwards, we had a late lunch and then roughly planned the next couple of weeks here in Cairns.
After realising that is was past 3pm once we had finished, we ended up deciding to have an early
dinner, do some school printing at an Officeworks, and then go to the Cairns Night Markets, which
were conveniently 3 minutes away from the Officeworks. We had a really enjoyable night there with
lots of laughs, and I got a souvenir t-shirt, a sarong, and a cool anklet/bracelet. And then we went to
a frozen yoghurt place where they had a $5 deal where you get a cone and you can fill it up as much
as possible with different frozen yoghurt flavours and toppings. I was just thinking about it and
realised that a great strategy (if we go again) would be to put the toppings inside the cone and then
put frozen yoghurt at the top, since when I tried to put the toppings on the frozen yoghurt they
slipped off after I put the white chocolate sauce on top. It was really yum though.
Afterwards we got back home, and then got ready for bed.
Tuesday
Today, we did school, and then took our computers to the Library to do our Cert 3 lesson. You might
ask what the reason for this is. Maybe you didn’t. Actually, you probably didn’t but I’m gonna tell
you anyways…
We went to the library because it was really hot and Mum needed a reprieve from the heat, in order to complete our Cert 3 classes. After we were finished we met up with my cousins! We had a really fun afternoon going on the swings, the big swing, playing tag as well as ‘football’ (soccer) and other fun games.
After that, we came back to the campsite, and after a nice dinner, I am currently writing this blog post (and catching up on a heap others that I didn’t get to do)
