Buenas dias/Bueno Noches! (I don't know when you are reading this haha)
Welcome back! This blog post will cover Monday and Tuesday of the Blog!
Monday
Today, after doing school, we went down to 'The Strand' which is a beachfront to beautiful blue water, bordered with golden sand. Lining the pathways are luscious green parks or quaint shops, and the street opposite the beach is covered with little boutiques or cafes.
As soon as we stepped out of the car, one of the first things we saw was a large figurine rising out of the water. After looking at a sign talking about the figurine we discovered that it was called the 'Ocean Siren' and it changed colour according to the water's temperature. We walked further down the short jetty, and Christopher discovered a fish cleaning tap, and the wind was blowing in such a convenient direction that whenever he sprayed it... he wet us.
After walking around, we went to a gelato place that was nearby, and I had this amazing Lemon-Lime gelato. It was nice and sour. The best part about it was that because no one else really likes sour things, I get my scoop all to myself. 😂
Then we had to head back, but we did a detour to Castle Hill lookout in Townsville. It was an amazing view of Townsville, and the cars looked so small it seemed like you could almost reach out and move them. We did a short circuit around the very peak of the mountain, and it is really cool now to see the peak that we walked around as we can see it from ground level.
And that was basically our Monday!
Tuesday
On Tuesday, we did (surprise surprise!) school! While we were in the midst of school, I heard Mum's exclamation, and upon looking, I saw that a little grey cat (we think it was a British shorthair) had come to visit us! Turns out it was owned by a couple near to where we are camping. Sadly, we haven't been blessed with another visit...
We didn't end up going anywhere in the afternoon as we had our Certificate 3 lesson, and then we just had a quiet afternoon.
And that was our Tuesday!
